About Syndic
We're a small team building software that helps groups split, track, and reconcile shared expenses — from a dinner with friends to buying a home together.
Why we built it
Splitting money with people you care about shouldn't feel like accounting homework.
Existing tools either move the money or wave it away.
Payment apps want to take a cut; spreadsheet-style splitters wave at the maths and leave the awkward conversations to you. We thought there was a third option: do the maths properly, leave the money alone.
A single source of truth, in 120 currencies.
Groups don't live in one country any more. Your sister's in London, you're in New York, the seller wants euros. Syndic logs every contribution in its original currency, converts at the live mid-market rate, and gives the whole group one ledger to look at. The actual transfers stay between members and their own banks.
Records that hold up later.
Two years in, someone wants to sell their share. Who paid for the new roof? Who chipped in for the wedding gift? Every entry is logged, timestamped, and exportable as a signed file your accountant or lawyer can actually use.

We don't move money
Syndic is software, not a bank. Members pay each other directly using their own preferred method.
The group decides what's fair
We give you flexible splitting tools — equal, weighted, item-by-item — and stay out of the call about who owes what.
Borders are a detail, not a feature flag
All 120 currencies are first-class. The platform works the same whether your group is in one city or four countries.
Your data is yours
We don't sell it, we don't train ads on it, and you can export the entire group ledger whenever you like.
Free for the group
Core splitting, tracking, and reconciliation is free for everyone in the group — no friend you invite ever has to pay to see what they owe.
We design for the long view
The decisions you record today should still make sense in five years — to a member, an accountant, or a court. Signed exports are the default, not an upsell.
